Our specialty office of Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, and Neurology are seeking qualified experienced medical assistant to be part of our growing team. Here at Sagebrush we value our patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, maintaining
patient records, and managing billing and insurance claims
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer injection medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Educate patients on proper medication use and provide instructions for at-home care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Traveling to other offices
- Submit referrals for infusions or injections to prior authorization dept.
Experience:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in ICD-10 codes and CPT codes
- Processing Referrals and Orders
- Experience working in a medical clinic
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems - Allscripts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
